Large ‘Brom-ston Temple

After the Main Temple, the Large ‘Brom-ston Temple (Tib.: Brom ston lha khang chen po) is the second largest building in the old temple complex and was either built by or in remembrance of Dromton (1008–1064), who was a main disciple of Atisha.

The walls include murals of the eight Medicine Buddhas and the south wall also has a painting that shows the life of Buddha Shakyamuni. In addition, beautiful detailed paintings are integrated into the wooden ceiling structure.
