Maitreya’s Temple

Maitreya’s Temple (Tib.: Byams pa’l lha khang) has a mural of Maitraya that is over six metres high, and further paintings of the Potala Palace in Lhasa and Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse.

Maitreya’s Temple was built during the temple site’s first one-hundred years. While it is a one-storey building today, a drawing in the Mandala Temple indicates it was initially a double-storey building.
