Tulku Tenzin Kalden Rinpoche

Tulku Tenzin Kalden Rinpoche was born in Rikong in Amdo in 1966. After graduating from elementary school in his hometown, Tulku Tenzin Kalden Rinpoche went to Tongren Middle School for Nationalities, then to Huangnan State Nationalities Normal School and finally to Lanzhou Northwest Nationalities College. Later, he became a teacher at Gaden Jangtse Monastery in the Tibetan settlement at Mundgod (Karnataka State, India) and taught Tibetan. He is proficient in both in Tibetan and in Chinese.

 

Tulku Tenzin Kalden Rinpoche is in charge of a monastery in Amdo and is also the Abbot of Tabo Monastery. He has received an award for his vision and actions to ensure the welfare of the people of the region. Using his excellent Tibetan language and calligraphy skills, he updated the calligraphy books for Serkong School. Tulku Tenzin Kalden Rinpoche also gives teachings to students abroad.
